A new video released by Narconon Riverbend features Vincenzo Zigari, a Narconon student who was positively impacted by the program. He tells the story of how he became addicted to drugs, how bad things became for him, and finally how Narconon Riverbend made the difference for him. Along the way, he tried several other rehab methods, only to turn back to drugs almost immediately. In the video, he explains why Narconon Riverbend made the difference.
This video is the first in a series of student testimonials that Narconon Riverbend is releasing in the first quarter of 2013.
Vincenzo Zigari was a high school athlete: a wrestler and a football player. He had a lot of friends, and was very successful at sports. He started experimenting with marijuana and drinking, and that turned into an “every day thing.” Eventually, he suffered a wrestling injury and started painkillers. It was at that point where his addiction began to spiral out of control.
Zigari eventually checked himself in a 12-step detox program, but as soon as he got out of the program, he started getting high again. From there, he went to a 12-step 30-day program, but got high while in the rehab. Zigari said that he wanted to stop, but didn’t know how to go about it. Zigari ended up in even more trouble, getting involved with gangs and in trouble with the law.
Zigari was given a lengthy sentence, bailed out, and went to another 28-day program. Instead of going into a halfway house afterward, Zigari and his family knew that they needed something different. They decided to enroll at Narconon Riverbend New Life Retreat.
In the video, Zigari describes how supportive and helpful the Narconon Riverbend staff have been and how the program has helped him to take control of his life.
